I was as a private-duty nurse for the Greenwich Hospital Nurses’ Registry before moving to Litchfield County in 1978.
Once here, I found there was not an organized source of carefully selected and screened care providers. It was the vulnerability of our elderly community members that compelled me to fill this need.
As a member of the “sandwich generation,” I have experienced the overwhelming concerns you may have. Today the field is flooded with new agencies of all kinds and the system is difficult to navigate. The internet is a cluttered nightmare for people trying to find the right kind of help.
